The Teacher’s College Reading and Writing Project groups Fountas and Pinnell text levels by bands (Calkins, 2009). As a practicing teacher I am creating cheat sheets that I like to call “Band Aids”. They are designed to remind teachers of the specific needs of young readers in each of the bands.
Some of these Band Aids were created in cooperation with graduate students during the 2012 and 2013 Summer Semesters of the Developmental Literacy course that I teach at Hunter College in New York. They are adaptations of the leveling work that is included in “The Continuum of Literacy Learning, Grades PreK-8, Second Edition: A Guide to Teaching” by Pinnell and Fountas (2010).
Band Aids are for your professional use. I would enjoy to hear about any feedback you might have about it and its use, in comments on this page (I love comments!)

The work you have done is wonderful – so concise and useful. I especially like your word work band aids for the different levels. I am a reading specialist and teach via guided reading all day, every day, and I never stop wanting to do a better job for my students. I use the Fountas & Pinnell Leveled Literacy Intervention system. The fact that your work is based on their work is exceptionally helpful to me.
So, thank you again for all your hard work that makes it easier for the rest of us!

Do you have these in “published” form that you’d be willing to share?
I’m not sure what you mean by “published” form. All of them are downloadable and free. Feel free to use them. Glad that you like them.
